We are seeking a Senior Video Editor & Content Creator to lead the creative development and execution of compelling video storytelling for Arabic-speaking digital audiences. This is a senior editorial-creative role requiring advanced editing craft, strong news and cultural judgment, original concept development, and a sophisticated understanding of how video performs across social and digital platforms. Key responsibilities - Lead the creative treatment, editing, and delivery of high-priority short-form and long-form video content for digital audiences. - Develop original video concepts, recurring formats, explainers, social series, and editorial treatments aligned with audience and platform strategy. - Transform reporting, interviews, breaking news, features, and complex topics into concise, compelling, visually coherent narratives. - Set high standards for storytelling structure, hooks, pacing, sequencing, sound design, graphics, subtitles, and overall finishing. - Shape platform-native video approaches for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X, and emerging channels. - Take creative ownership of major coverage moments, special projects, campaigns, and high-visibility video packages. - Work as a senior creative partner with editors, journalists, producers, designers, and social media leads from concept through publication. - Apply strong editorial judgment to footage selection, context, tone, sequencing, and representation, particularly during sensitive or fast-moving news events. - Use audience behavior and performance insights to refine formats, openings, duration, narrative structure, and retention strategies. - Provide guidance, feedback, and quality control on video output to strengthen consistency and production standards. - Evaluate emerging creator formats, production techniques, AI-enabled creative workflows, and platform trends for appropriate editorial use. What success looks like - Develops recognizable, high-quality video formats that strengthen the platform's digital presence. - Improves video storytelling, retention, engagement, and audience relevance through creative and performance-informed decisions. - Elevates production and editorial standards across video output. - Contributes original ideas and senior creative leadership to major editorial and audience-growth initiatives.
